Google Play Musik Terhenti. Layanan streaming musik milik Google, Google Play Music, akan berhenti pada akhir Desember 2020 dan akan digantikan oleh YouTube Music. Secara bertahap, Google Play Music akan berhenti di Selandia Baru dan Afrika Selatan pada September.

Penutupan akan terjadi di negara lainnya pada Oktober. Layanan akan ditutup sepenuhnya pada Desember.

Sementara itu, mulai akhir bulan Agustus, Google tidak akan menerima pembelian musik di Play Store. Baru beberapa bulan lalu, YouTube Music memungkinkan pengguna Google Play Music untuk memindahkan perpustakaan musik ke YouTube Music, mulai dari unggahan, rekomendasi lagu, hingga daftar putar (playlist).

Google berjanji bahwa YouTube Music akan memberi banyak pemberitahuan sebelum Play Music ditutup. Pengguna dipastikan tetap dapat menggunakan Google Play Music hingga ditutup.

Dilansir dari The Verge, apabila Anda membeli ponsel dengan sistem operasi Android 10, YouTube Music telah terinstal sebagai pengganti Google Play Music.
